Haydar is a PhD qualified Polymer Scientist and has extensive experience in instigating and managing projects in the healthcare sector. He has designed, developed, manufactured and launched many medical devices including class III’s. Haydar joined BSI in 2004 as a technical expert and certification manager and his responsibility extended in 2005 to the management of the General Devices team whose scope of expertise includes: wound care, soft tissue implants, ophthalmic devices and products which contain ancillary medicinal substances or utilise animal tissue. This broad scope often involves the classification of novel devices where robust interpretation of regulatory legislation is vital.
Haydar has developed and delivered a number of courses including: design control, risk management, clinical, post market surveillance & vigilance, animal tissue, device-drug combination products and of course the medical device directive.
