World Manufacturer Identifier (WMI)
Every country has an official body that issues WMI codes to vehicle manufacturers. These codes uniquely identify and describe individual vehicles, including their manufacturer, year and place of production, and vehicle characteristics. BSI is the UK’s official WMI coordinator.
