BSI provides courses which are included in the list of registered public courses under the VTC New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme (NITTP)* and more registered courses are coming soon.

 

*NITTP is available for training courses provided by BSI Hong Kong only.

Enhanced arrangements for NITTP

The Innovation and Technology Commission announced the enhanced funding arrangement for NITTP. Under the new arrangement, the Commission will disburse 50% of the approved training grant before the completion of training courses to the funding recipient enterprises upon request. The new arrangement will be applicable to applications received from 30 March 2020 onwards.


With the start of new financial year, each eligible enterprise can apply for the funding with a funding ceiling of HK$500,000 again.

What is NITTP?

New Industrialisation and Technology Training Programme (NITTP) is a funding scheme under the Innovation and Technology Fund that subsidises local companies 2/3 of the training cost to train their staff in advanced technologies, especially those related to "Industry 4.0".

 

Easy Application for funding- 3 steps

1. Company submits application at least 2 weeks before the training starts

2. After Vetting by NITTP Secretariat, receive confirmation letter

3. Submit claim form and supporting document within 2 months after completion of training

 

Funding Ceiling

Each company is subject to a funding ceiling of HK$500,000 in each financial year at the course commencement date. Companies should contribute no less than one-third of the actual training cost. There is no limit on the number of eligible trainees from each company for each training course.

 

Eligibility

Companies applying for training grant under the NITTP should fulfill the following requirements –

(a) registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310);

(b) must be a non-government and non-subvented organisation; and

(c) the employee nominated is a Hong Kong permanent resident with the necessary background / experience relevant to the advanced technology.
