5 June is named as World Environment Day.

In order to promote environmental protection, BSI Hong Kong organizes "Beach Cleanup at Cape D'Aguilar” in advance. The management team led around 30 colleagues for cleaning up the shoreline at Rubbish Bay of Cape D'Aguilar.

The problem at Lap Sap Wan (“Rubbish Bay”) has existed for decades. A huge amount of marine refuse was accumulated there due to wind direction and current.

As soon as the colleagues arrived at Rubbish Bay, the amount of marine refuse in front of them was so "spectacular" and bursts of odors was very disgusting. Despite cleaning up under the scorching sun, our colleagues did not aware of the odor and sweat and tried their best to clean the shoreline.

The Rubbish Bay was full of marine refuse, including styrofoam scraps, large timbers, etc., making cleaning up more difficult. However, with the efforts of colleagues, more than 20 bags of marine refuse were successfully transported to the garbage collection point.
