Alan is a Tutor for BSI’s UK Training department, specialising in Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management. Alan has a wealth of experience in the engineering & manufacturing sector with previous management roles in Engineering, Quality, Environmental and OHS to senior level in a range of industries. Significant expertise in management systems has developed in parallel with the above industrial experience.
Alan joined the BSI Training Department after several years as a further education lecturer. Prior to lecturing, Alan had a career progression spanning 30 years in engineering & manufacturing from apprentice to senior management. Practical experience in implementation, transition and improvement of multiple management systems in a variety of industries.
Alan has extensive working knowledge of various ISO management system standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001.
