Richard has over 27 years’ experience in corporate and front line Integrated Management Systems implementation, management, consultancy and training services. He is very experienced in teaching quality, health and safety, environment and engineering disciplines covering over 19 industry sectors and enforcement bodies. Richard delivers IOSH, NEBOSH, IEMA and IRCA training courses and a full range of BSI management systems offerings, such as, combined, bespoke, open and in-company courses. Richard is a qualifying reviewer for the Certified Auditor qualification. Richard still actively takes part in leading and conducting audits, has trained assessors for BSI and is one of the main interface contacts between BSI and IOSH. Richard is the Associate Tutor Development Manager and a Senior Management Systems Tutor.
Before becoming a tutor for BSI, Richard held various senior management positions and lead auditor roles and was a principal trainer and consultant teaching NEBOSH Diploma. He has also taught to degree level and has worked as an IMS implementation specialist for small, medium and large blue chip global organizations. Richard has extensive industry experience including construction, aerospace, automotive, railway infrastructure, food and drink, mineral extraction, energy distribution and generation, consumer/retail and enforcement body organizations.
Qualifications and professional membership
Richard has technical engineering qualifications, has read physics, mathematics, electronics and electrical engineering, health and safety, environmental sciences, quality and combined auditing disciplines at a number of universities and institutes. Richard has also gained various business management qualifications having held technical and systems management positions in many international companies. He is also a member of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety.
