BSI, the business improvement company, is delighted to announce a corporate partnership with Crisis, the national charity for homeless people.
BSI Training Academy, part of BSI Assurance UK will be raising money for Crisis through their publicly available training courses. For every delegate that books onto a public training course during Q4 in 2019, BSI UK will donate £10 to Crisis to help tackle homelessness. Additionally, BSI will be raising money internally and through its partners to try and maximise this amount.
Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. Every year they work side by side with thousands of homeless people, to help them rebuild their lives and leave homelessness behind for good. They do this through education, training and support with housing, employment and health. They offer one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales.
In many parts of the UK, homelessness is rising. Research suggests that more than 170,000 families and individuals across Britain are experiencing the worst forms of homelessness. This includes people sleeping on our streets, sofa-surfing with strangers, living in hostels, and stuck in other dangerous situations
Each Christmas, Crisis brings warmth, companionship and vital services to thousands of people at one of the hardest times of the year, and offers a starting point out of homelessness.
Chris Wright, Commercial Training Director: BSI Training Academy, says ‘We are delighted to be able to announce this partnership to try and help tackle one of the most serious problems facing many in the UK today. We all see for ourselves the devastation caused by homelessness and it’s great that BSI will be able to work with Crisis to try and move people into permanent, safe housing and employment.’
Mayaz Rahman, Head of Partnerships at Crisis said: “Crisis’ work is only possible because of the generosity of supporters like BSI, who donate vital funds, skills and resources, and share our determination to make sure everyone has a safe and stable home. We’re delighted to be working with BSI this Christmas and would like to thank them for their support.”
