Our free webinar has been designed to provide an essential update on the differences between the old and new standards. It will also introduce and explain the new High Level Structure, and detail how the new requirements help your organisation to minimise food safety management risks.
- David Highton will outline the key requirements of the new ISO 22000:2018 and discuss how they might be met, as well as looking at the benefits of using the standard.

ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems. Requirements for any organization in the food chain covers the entire food chain from primary production to consumer. It supports communication across the whole organisation, and both upstream and downstream in the food chain to ensure hazards are identified and controlled effectively.
Meet the presenters:
David Highton: David Highton is BSI Committee Chair to AW/90 Quality systems for the food industry. David’s background was in Trading Standards before spending over 15 years at BSI’s Management Systems and Product Certification Division. With proven experience in quality management systems, his expertise also covers management-related technical advice and training, particularly in food safety. He was a contributor to the original development of ISO 22000, and to the development of the BRC Global Food and Consumer Products Standards amongst others. As Committee Chair of AW/90, he oversees the UK input into ISO/TC 34 on matters relating to food safety and integrity systems within the food supply chain.
Roy Kirby: Roy Kirby is Director of Global Food Safety for Mondelēz International. He is a member of Mondelez International’s Global Quality leadership team. Roy’s current responsibilities cover all Food Safety relevant disciplines including Microbiology, Toxicology, Allergens and Packaging right across the Product Lifecycle. He leads a high performing team across the world to ensure that Mondelez International’s Quality policies and expectations are applied and validated on a consistent basis. Prior to joining Mondelez, Roy was a member of the European Food Safety Authorities Executive Office responsible for Quality Management. Throughout his 30 year career, Roy has worked in roles spanning academia, public service and industry but always focused on consumer safety.
