The changing face of ISO 9001 - Public UK Committee Meeting & Forum

Free event

Date: Thursday 5 June 2014 (10.00-19.00)

LocationBirmingham City University, Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham, B4 7XG

ISO standards are reviewed every five years to ensure that they're still current and relevant in the marketplace. That’s why ISO 9001 is currently under review and an updated version is due to publish at the end of 2015.

To broaden stakeholder engagement with the UK committee and input to the ISO 9001 revision, we invite you to attend this one-day event so that you can learn more about the changes taking place.

Bringing together a panel of experts, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the public consultation process and comment on the draft international standard.

The event seeks to:

  • Broaden stakeholder understanding of and involvement in standards development
  • Encourage new organizations and bodies to join the UK committee responsible for ISO 9001
  • Share the latest news and updates on the revision of ISO 9001
  • Address frequently expressed concerns about key changes
  • Emphasize how the revision makes the standard more relevant and easier to use by service industries and SMEs.

There is also an opportunity for a limited number of people to participate in the international working group, which is meeting from Monday to Wednesday (09:00-18:00) at the same venue prior to the event. This is a unique opportunity to experience how ISO working groups operate and to ensure that the communications around the revisions address key topics, issues and questions. Please express your interest to attend one or more of these sessions on the registration form.
