Read BSI's white paper on the need for agile standards development

To be truly agile, good practice and standards should support the most valuable use cases as they emerge over time. This means being flexible, iterative and responding quickly as circumstances change.

Together with the National Digital Twin Programme and the Construction Innovation Hub, we have published a whitepaper that explores an exciting new direction in the future of good practice – the potential to take an “agile” approach to the development of standards.

Our white paper explores:

  • How the need for greater agility relates to major trends, from digital transformation to the response to climate change and COVID-19
  • The benefits of this agility, including reducing the time to realise value from good practice and using rapid iterations to ensure an up-to-date reference point
  • How agile standards can support early and continuous innovation and the ways that this is being applied today
