BSI Canada announces 2013 Award of Excellence winners

Province Technologies, Inc., and Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd., awarded for top single and multiple site implementations of Quality Management Systems in Canada.

BSI Canada, today announced that Province Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of IT asset management software to Microsoft and Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd., an internationally-recognized engineering and environmental services firm, was awarded BSI Canada's Award of Excellence for Quality Management Systems. The awards were given for single site and multiple site implementation respectively.

Province Technologies, which won the single-site implementation award, has been ISO 9001 registered for the last 12 years. The company has developed a unique and very effective quality system that helps maintain high-quality outputs in all areas of operations from business planning, finance, marketing, and sales to software development. The company has a perfect audit record, which is an exceptional accomplishment.

The engineering firm works in the power, mining, environment, water, transportation, oil sands, oil and gas, and municipal sectors and has implemented an integrated system to not only ensure that they meet legislative requirements but to exceed expectations regarding interaction with the community and environments in which they operate.

The inaugural Award of Excellence was given to Neptec Design Group Inc., a Canadian aerospace design company based in Ottawa. The company was recognized for the successful and continually improving implementation of its ISO Quality Management system, which has propelled the firm into global success and recognition.
Last year's winner was Redline Communications, a global producer of specialized outdoor wireless broadband radio systems that successfully transformed its business operations in order to achieve five-year profitability benchmarks in just two years.
