British Standards Institution Recertifies RasGas ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Systems

Following a rigorous audit, RasGas Company Limited’s has received Quality Management (ISO 9001:2008), Environment Management (ISO 14001:2004) and Occupational Health and Safety Management (OHSAS 18001:2007) systems from H.E. Nicholas Hopton Her Majesty’s UK Ambassador to Qatar. This confirms and reinforces the company’s continuous drive for excellence, a relentless focus on quality, environment and occupational health and safety management systems.

The BSI, which is the world’s first national standards body and a founding member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), presented the certificates to Hamad Rashid Al-Mohannadi, RasGas Chief Executive Officer at its headquarters in Doha’s West Bay “RasGas’ steady focus on accident prevention, maintaining an inherent culture of excellence and commitment to best practice and quality has established it as an industry leader. This ISO and OHSAS recertification motivates RasGas’ management to oversee systematic and continuous improvement of its practices, and encourages the integration and alignment of the organisation’s strategy and operations,” said Al Mohannadi.

RasGas received its first ISO and Occupational Health & Safety Advisory Services (OHSAS) certification in 1999 and has continuously met the world class ISO and OHSAS standards through the Company’s stringent RasGas Elements for Excellence (RGEE) programme which provides an integrated framework of quality, safety, health and environment management systems.
