Muscat - Teejan Group signed an integrated management systems contract with BSI recently. The group has already been certified ISO 9001, OHSAS:18001 and EMS:14001.
Ahmad Al Khatib, General Manager | Assurance and Testing – BSI Middle East and Africa, said, “It is fairly challenging for organisations to receive and maintain all three certificates. Teejan has signed a contract with BSI-UAE to accredit the methodology for quality assurance.”
Sheikh Hamed Harassy, chairman of Teejan, said, “Since its establishment in 1974 as a business conglomerate, Teejan has always had a vision to be a global player in construction, food and beverages, household and office furniture, besides information technology, fire fighting trading and educational trainings.”
Fawzi al Harassy, executive director, Teejan, said, “The journey has been long and challenging. With BSI, we wish to touch more glorious heights and leave a mark.”
BSI (British Standards Institution) is a global organization that equips businesses with the necessary solutions to turn standards of best practice into habits of excellence.
Fawzi said that the group believes in timely execution of projects. “Teejan wants to work on innovative projects to be a part of the nation’s wealth development and generate a healthy GDP rating in the coming years. “The group has worked for a number of projects in Oman like public schools and has provided a strong business culture experience, which has helped expand its operations in Saudi Arabia, UAE, India and China.”
