Założenia programu
Zespół Hi Tech Crime w ramach MSW oraz Ofcom ufundowały stworzenie normy i programu Kitemark dla dostawców usług internetowych i oprogramowania z zadaniem ochrony dzieci przed niepożądanymi elementami technologii internetowej.
Projekt był owocem współpracy BSI jako brytyjskiego komitetu normalizacyjnego, MSW, Ofcom oraz przedstawicieli ISP i deweloperów mający na celu podniesienie standardów filtrowania, monitorowania i blokowania aplikacji na brytyjskim rynku.
