People & Employee Security

One of the greatest threats to any business is its employees, so it is essential that you can ensure you employ staff whose integrity and character are beyond doubt, particularly for positions of trust. Originally for security firms, BS 7858:2006 is now used across sectors as the benchmark for good screening procedures.

Other BSI standards in this section give guidelines on a range of security issues including:

  • the organization, staffing, operation and management of companies providing a cash-in-transit service
  • methods for assessing the risk of crime and/ or fear of crime and measures, procedures and processes aimed at reducing these risks
  • best practice for organizing outdoor events
  • crime reduction measures for holiday resorts and accommodation.
