National Annexes to Eurocodes

National Annexes will be included with each Eurocode part and give details of any nationally determined parameters specific to individual member states which are referred to in the main Eurocode text .

Nationally determined parameters (NDPs) cover values, classes or methods to be chosen or determined at national level, and will allow the EU member states to choose the level of safety, including aspects of durability and economy applicable to works in their territory, through their national annex.

The National Annex will also contain country-specific data,  and will state the method to be used if there are alternative methods allowed in the Eurocode

The National Annexes will not be design guides, nor will they make any amendments or propose alternatives to design requirements in the Eurocodes.

The respective National Annex will be bound into the Eurocode when it is published in the member state.
