In support of the food safety programme for Indonesia, BSI provided assessment of food safety in 12 small food processing companies (SMEs). The first EU-ASEAN joint field mission consisted of a technical advice mission which was carried out jointly by a BSI (EU) expert and Indonesian (local ASEAN) experts. Visits were made to the food processing companies and a report provided on the progress and/or weaknesses in the management of food safety.
