A national network of quality-accredited Chambers of Commerce, representing more than 100,000 businesses - equivalent to four million jobs.

Business Eye
Business Eye is a free, impartial information service for Wales, created to find the answer to your business questions.

Business Gateway
Business Gateway is a partnership with Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Executive and local authorities, aiming to provide businesses with information, advice, learning opportunities, support, and, where appropriate, funding.

Business in the Community
A UK independent business-led charity of 700 member companies, with a further 1,600 participating in programmes and campaigns. It operates through a network of 98 local business-led partnerships, (and 45 global partners). The aim is to inspire, challenge, engage and support business in continually improving its positive impact on society.

Business Link
The primary government-funded business support service, providing advice and information for SMEs and suppliers of business support services/solutions.

British Printing Industries Federation
The BPIF is the principal business support organization for the UK print, printed packaging and graphic communication industry. It is one of this country's leading trade associations.

Confederation of British Industry (CBI)
The CBI is the UK's leading business organization and, in relation to the delivery of the NSSF, ensures that the interests of businesses of all sizes and in all sectors are represented.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)
The Department of Trade and Industry is the government department that promotes enterprise and drives UK productivity and competitiveness. It funds the NSSF, which was set up as part of the government's commitment to increasing innovation, developing existing and emerging technology, and improving the UK's competitiveness in global markets.

Enterprise Agencies (National Federation of Enterprise Agencies)
NFEA is a network of independent, not-for-profit, local enterprise agencies and similar organizations committed to responding to the needs of small and growing businesses by providing a range of appropriate quality services.

Enterprise Hubs (EEDA - East of England Development Agency)
An active, developing network of high-level support for the region's knowledge intensive and high-tech businesses. Hubs support pre-start-ups, start-ups and early stage businesses.

Enteprise Hubs (SEEDA - South East England Development Agency)
A maturing group of networks and centres, recognized as leaders in Europe. They provide business incubation and good practice for fast growing technology companies with a variety of sectoral expertise.

Federation of Small Businesses
The largest direct member business organization in the UK, with over 200,000 members employing 2.5 million people.

Highlands and Island Enterprise (HIE)
The task of the HIE network is to unlock potential and help create a strong, diverse and sustainable economy in Scotland's highlands and islands.

Institute of Directors
The IOD has 50,000 members in the UK, with members on the boards of three-quarters of the Times Top 1,000 companies. 65% of memebers are directors of small and medium sized companies.

Invest Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland's main economic development organization, working to increase wealth and prosperity in Northern Ireland.

National Standardization Strategic Framework (NSSF)
A programme led jointly by the DTI, the British Standards Institution, the Confederation of British Industry and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service to promote the use of standards and standardization. 

Scottish Chambers of Commerce
Umbrella organization, with the prime function to promote and protect the interests of local Chambers and their members throughout Scotland.

Scottish Enterprise
Rated among the world's top economic development agencies, Scottish Enterprise is the main economic development agency for Scotland, covering 93% of the population from Grampian to the border.

Scottish Executive
The Scottish Executive is the devolved government of Scotland, accountable to the Scottish Parliament.

Small Business Bureau
Assists small businesses by working with opinion formers to help develop a positive environment for businesses to grow and develop.

Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative
A government-recognized organization that researches and disseminates what works best for small businesses.

Small Business Council
Reports to the secretary of state for trade and industry on the needs of existing and small businesses in order to increase their opportunities for success and growth. It also advises the chief executive of the Small Business Service.

Small Business Service
A department of the DTI created to make the UK the best place to start and grow businesses (manages the Business Link network).

Trade Association Forum
The Trade Association Forum encourages the development and sharing of best practice among UK trade associations. The forum provides its members with a range of services and activities designed to assist them in the strategic development and day-to-day running of their organizations, but is not a policy-setting body.

The Forum of Private Business
Committed to fighting for a fair deal for small and medium-sized businesses in the UK. With more than 25,000 members representing 600,000 people, the forum has huge clout both politically and in arranging money-saving deals for members.

UK Business Incubation
The UK's authority on the development and support of incubation environments.

UK Trade & Investment
Government organization that supports companies doing business internationally and overseas enterprises seeking to set up or expand in the UK.

United Kingdom Science Park Association
The mission of UKSPA is to be the authoritative body on the planning, development and the creation of science parks that are facilitating the development and management of innovative, high-growth, knowledge based organizations.

United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)
UKAS is the sole national accreditation body recognized by government to assess - against internationally agreed standards - organizations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of these evaluators.

The UK Patent Office
Responsible for intellectual property (copyright, designs, patents and trade marks) in the UK. They offer customers an accessible, high quality, value-for-money system both nationally and internationally, for granting intellectual property rights.
