- It must be clear to users that affiliate websites are third party sites – not owned or operated by BSI. Affiliates must clearly state who they are (this means the name that is registered with the dgm network) and that they are an authorized affiliate of BSI British Standards. All marketing of BSI British Standards products must be within the affiliate own website
- Affiliates are not permitted to use the BSI name or BSI logo, or any trademarks or trade names registered to BSI (or any device confusingly similar) in the header of any website or email communication, except those communications provided by BSI as part of the affiliate scheme marketing collateral.
- Affiliates must not use the BSI name or BSI logo to sell other services that they may have in their portfolio. The BSI brand must only be used to sell British Standards and BSI products.
- Affiliates may not use the BSI logo in a sentence in place of the letters BSI; the normal typeface should be used e.g.: “An authorized affiliate of BSI British Standards”. When using the BSI acronym, all three letters must be capitalized. When referring to a British Standard number the acronym used must be BS not BSi or BSI.
- Only affiliates authorized by BSI are allowed to bid on BSI brand terms. Bidding is prohibited by all other affiliates through all paid search engines on the brand names BSI, BSI British Standards, BSI Business Information or British Standards Institution, or any phrases containing these names, or phrases which could be interpreted as such. This includes misspellings and variations of these brand terms.
- Affiliates who have been given permission to bid on BSI brand terms may not use any BSI Top Level Domain URL in their listings. i.e. www.bsi-global.com,www.bsigroup.com, www.kitemark.com, or any variant thereof, including misspellings. Affiliates may use, for example, www.affiliatewebsite.com/bsi
- Those affiliates who do not have permission to bid on BSI brand terms must ensure that they put a negative match on the term ‘bsi’ in all search engines to prevent broadmatched listings appearing.
