Useful Information from ISO

ISO continues to provide those involved in its system with useful documentation. The most recent of these are two documents about participation in the system. They are in the E-committees useful documents folder under ISO-IEC links and also available as free downloads from the following address:

http://www.iso.org/iso/standards_development.htm

The first paper is entitled ‘Joining in - Participation in International Standardization’. After a general introduction, it then has various sections including development of standards, how standards can help us, tools and resources. The document is well structured and we feel sure it will contain something of interest to everyone.

The second is entitled ‘My ISO Job’. Again, after a brief introduction there are several sections including copyright information, patent policy, roles within the standards development process, tools available.

From the link above you can navigate around the ISO site, where you will find a myriad of other useful information.
