Committee member newsletter

Shirley Bailey Wood

Issue 3, Winter 2006

Welcome to the third edition of our e-newsletter for committee members.

In this edition we report on the 4th Standards Makers' Forum, which took place in September, provide you with a preview of the upgrade to the ecommittees system that will take place next year, as well as giving you general information which you may find useful in your standardization work. In addition, we have included brief items covering the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee, British Electrotechnical Committee and activities in the International Standards arena, where 22 UK experts received the prestigious IEC 1906 award.

We hope you find this of interest and, as always, we welcome your feedback so please do send us your comments or suggestions for future articles.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you all for your input during this year and wishing you a happy Christmas. I look forward to our continued cooperation in 2007.
