We in the committee member training team would like to take this opportunity to thank your for participating and update you on the changes being made to our programme.
You may have noticed there has not been a separate committee member training newsletter since Edition 2. This is in direct response to numerous e-mails from committee members requesting it’s withdrawal due to the number of e-mails they were receiving; I hope this action has had a positive effect on your in boxes.
In an effort to keep our learning programme fresh, we periodically make changes to the soft skills courses. We are currently going through a period of change and will be offering the following soft skills courses:
- Handling Difficult People and Situations
- Influencing, Persuading and Negotiation
- Creative and Innovative Problem Solving.
These will complement the ever popular standardization courses. The courses are all instructor led and are being offered at our Chiswick office.
Committee Member Training Goes Green.
In order to do our bit and reduce our carbon footprint we will no longer be providing a hardcopy of the course brochure. Our course brochure can now be found online, both in the form of a Flash enabled brochure which you can flick through, and as a PDF file, for those without flash on their computers. The brochure can be accessed either by logging onto: www.bsigroup.com/CommitteeTraining,
or alternatively by using the link on the training home page:
www.bsigroup.com/en/Standards-and-Publications/Committee-Members/
We are, as always, committed to improving the experience of all our committee members, and appreciate the time you take to give us your comments on the courses on offer and in developing new and useful courses for you. I would therefore like to thank those who have contributed, and hope to hear from many more of you. Let us have your comments on the e-learning and the instructor led courses.
Please do not restrict yourselves when giving feedback-we need to find out any issues you are experiencing which you feel could be improved by e-learning or instructor led courses.
