Introducing the BSI British Standards Conferences and Training team

Ever seen a flyer or brochure for a BSI British Standards conference and wondered what it was all about?

Well here is the answer:

The Conference and Training department is part of the commercial section of BSI British Standards. It develops and runs conferences and training around various standards and sectors. Most conferences are supporting the publication of a particular standard or addressing industry issues.

The portfolio is expanding to include regular ‘must attend’ annual conferences such as the 3rd Annual BCM Conference which was held on 16 July 2008.

The team also runs events that support the development of new standards and encourage discussion and debate around the issues which feed into the standards making process. A recent example of this was the ‘Setting Standards for Sustainable Design’ Forum. Future events include conferences on the new BS 31100:2008 Code of practice for risk management and the 2nd Annual Sustainable Procurement Conference. Visit our shop for more information about future BSI conferences.

Also on offer is a growing portfolio of training courses across a wide range of subjects, details of which can be found at www.bsigroup.com/seminars
