Ensuring Committee Members are trained is a key responsibility for BSI as the National Standards Body. Traditionally, British Standards Committee Member Training has run classroom based training to provide committee members with the knowledge and tools necessary to support and enhance their activities in standardization work.
With DTI support we have developed Committee Member Training via e-Learning. This advancement will allow you to access training modules at a time and location convenient to you.
During 2006 Committee Member Training will move from being entirely classroom based to a blended learning approach, combining classroom based learning with e-Learning. Starting in 2006 e-Learning modules will be created for committee member training. The first of these modules will support the recently revised BS 0. This module was launched in March after completion of a successful pilot. Roll out of the BS 0 e-Learning module will be staggered and you should receive your user details in the next few weeks, if you have not already done so.
Development of e-Learning modules for existing Committee Member Training courses will follow on from this.
