To all the chairmen who took the time to complete the Chairman’s survey carried out in December 08, thank you very much. I am pleased to say that the majority of chairman felt the level of support offered to them by BSI was either good or excellent. However, there is room for improvement and we want all chairman feel the level of support is either good or excellent.
Some of the issues raised were around the support offered to new Chairmen; we are using the information gained from the survey to develop solutions, to the issues highlighted.
The most surprising result of the survey is the number of Chairmen who were not aware of the e-learning courses. 13% of respondents had completed BS0, which leaves a massive 87% of respondents who have still not completed BS0 for a variety of reasons. Those of you who have not yet taken the plunge and accessed e-learning please take some time to go to the website I am aware that you are all bombarded with e-mails, however this is the quickest and easiest method of keeping you updated with courses which are running, or changes to the course timetables originally advertised in the course brochure, so do have a quick scan through the e-mail before deleting it.

We are, as always, committed to improving the experience of all our committee members, and appreciate the time you take to give us your comments on the courses on offer and in developing new and useful courses for you. Please do not restrict yourselves when giving feedback-we need to find out any issues you are experiencing which you feel could be improved by e-learning or instructor led courses.
