As consumers become increasingly concerned with energy consumption and environmental issues, it is important for organisations to demonstrate that steps have been taken to improve resource efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  The following Kitemark schemes offer organisations ways to certify their carbon emission reductions and demonstrate their products meet the necessary requirements.

Kitemark for Microgeneration

Find out more about the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).  Included in the Kitemark scheme is full MCS certification with BSI a UKAS accredited certification body.  Certification to MCS is required by all installers and manufacturers of microgeneration products who want access to UK domestic government projects.

Kitemark for Energy Reduction Verification

The new Kitemark Energy Reduction Verification provides organisations with a means to prove their reductions in carbon dioxide emission resulting from energy use.  In addition to satisfying internal stakeholders, certification to this Kitemark scheme will enable those organisations required to participate in the Government’s Carbon Reduction Energy Efficiency Scheme to benefit from the Early Action Metric  and a better position on the Performance League Table.

Kitemark for Window Energy Rating

Learn more about the Kitemark scheme for Window Energy Rating (WER).  Based on the approved document L1B of the Building Regulations companies achieving a B rating under the BSI scheme will be eligible to apply for the Energy Savings Trust Recommended scheme.
