What is the Kitemark?

The Kitemark is the UK's oldest and most trusted product/service certification mark and is trusted by 88%* of the UK adult population. Kitemark and the Kitemark symbol are registered trade marks of BSI and as such can only be awarded by BSI.

The Kitemark - known for quality, integrity and trust.

Based on a standard agreed by a wide range of representative viewpoints,  a Kitemark scheme tests and audits a product or service to ensure that it not only meets the requirements detailed in the standard but that it does so consistently, safety and reliably - every time.

Because BSI is an independent organisation, its certification offers a true mark of quality that consumers and buisness can rely on. With Kitemark products and services regularly audited the presence of a Kitemark symbol shows the purchaser that they are benfitting from Kitemark quality each time and that the manufacturer or service provider is committed to delivering quality and safety.

In cases where a product or services does not continue to meet the Kitemark criteria, BSI will remove the Kitemark licence.
