Domestic combination alarms
Domestic alarms can incorporate three or four types of sensor, such as heat, smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) within the one alarm unit. Like single sensor alarms, they have a test button, and can be mains or battery powered.

Domestic combustible alarms
Combustible gas alarms warn of the presence of gas. This type of alarm samples air every two minutes and provides an immediate alert to leaks of natural gas, propane or butane.
Many of these alarms are able to operate external devices such as gas shut-off valves which greatly reduce the danger of explosion.
