Audit

To join the Kitemark® scheme a garage has first to demonstrate conformity with the scheme requirements through an initial assessment. This assessment includes an audit of the garage’s quality control and service delivery.

A typical audit usually only takes one day. Our assessors are all experienced individuals from within the automotive industry, which helps the day run smoothly.  

Non-compliances

In the event that any non-compliances are identified during the audit, you will need to address these by implementing a corrective action plan. Only major non-compliances will require another visit to your premises, or unduly hold up the licence issue. Digital photographs and written submissions can all be taken into account when assessing the corrective action plan and clearing minor non-compliances.
