BSI Management Systems wins Innovation Award for BS 25999 services at annual awards event in Singapore.
BSI Management Systems has received the Award for Product/Service Innovation from the Asia Business Continuity Awards (ABCA) for its work in developing and delivering services around the world for BS 25999, the internationally recognized business continuity management standard.
This high profile award was presented at the ABCA’s awards ceremony which is an integral part of the 8th Annual Business Continuity Management Conference in Singapore. The accolade was made in recognition of the outstanding contribution made by BSI Management Systems to the world of Business Continuity Management. In particular, BSI Management Systems was recognized for promoting the standard in all corners of the world and for a number of firsts including:
- The first company to launch a BS 25999 certification scheme so organizations could demonstrate independent compliance with the standard
- The first certification body to certify organizations against BS 25999 (it continues to lead the international certification market)
- One of the first certification bodies to be independently accredited to deliver BS 25999 certification
On accepting the award, John Hele, BSI Management Systems Global Product Manager for BS 25999, said, “On behalf of BSI, I am delighted that the ABCA has honoured BSI with this award for its work in business continuity management. BSI recognized the vital importance of BCM in protecting the resilience of organizations throughout the world and developed a number of ‘value-add’ solutions around the BS 25999 standard, including certification and training services. • From Asia Pacific - Mr. Kenny Seow, Director of Contingency Solutions Pty Ltd
