BSI conference: Future Standards Makers

The Future Standards Makers Conference is an annual one-day event, organised in collaboration with BEAMA, GAMBICA and the IET.  The conference explores the future of engineering and introduces young professionals to standards.

The 2016 programme covered the themes of health & transport, smart cities and energy efficiency. Delegates heard how standards play a key role in supporting engineers to meet the societal challenges they face.

Nearly 150 attendees, including more than 50 watching online, enjoyed contributions from a range of experts, including award-winning engineer Kris Harrison.

Join our Innovators Forum

Following on from the success of this year’s conference, BSI will launch an online forum to support the next generation of innovators and industry experts. The forum will be a meeting point for future standards-makers and experienced engineers to share and debate the interrelations between standards, innovation and economic growth.
