What is AS/NZS 1716?

AS/NZS 1716:2012 is the Australian and New Zealand standard for respiratory protective devices. Respirators must be made and tested to comply with this specification. The standard sets out the procedures and materials that must be used in respirator manufacture, and the established tests and performance results, to ensure it's safe for use.
