Smartworld awarded ISO certification in IT Service Management System, ISO/IEC 20000-1

Smartworld has announced that it has been awarded the ISO/IEC 20000-1: 2011 certificate for IT Service Management System. Mr. Mohamed Fouz, CEO of Smartworld received the award at their head office from Ahmad Al Khatib, General Manager for Assurance, BSI Middle East and Africa. ISO/IEC 20000-1 is the first internationally recognized standard for an IT service management system (ITSM). This acknowledges Smartworld's high levels of efficiency in IT service provision and their ability to continuously improve the delivery of IT services in accordance with the development of the IT industry and their company requirements.

Smartworld, a joint venture between Etisalat and Dubai World Central. It was established in 2008 as a Digital ICT service provider delivering fully integrated and comprehensive managed services across several sectors in the Middle East. Smartworld works closely with government agencies, telecommunications operators, large enterprises as well as small and medium businesses to deliver them unique value.
