Al-Ahli first bank in KSA to be awarded international certificate in Business Continuity Management

For its pioneering works in the area of business Continuity Management (BCM), the National Commercial Bank was recently awarded the prestigious international accredited BS 25999 standard from the British Standard Institution (BSI). 

On receiving the certificate from BSI Regional Managing Director - Theuns Kotze - Mr. Abdulkareem Abu AlNasr Chief Executive Officer, NCB said: "It is a great honor and privilege to be recognized as the first bank in KSA to receive this certificate.

Our number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of our employees but we never forget our key stakeholders in our rigorous and thorough BCM planning and implementation," he added.

The British Standard Institution BS 25999 accreditation recognizes and confirms the importance of business planning and preparation for a range of potential operational scenarios. This is an essential element of modern business and NCB has been recognized for the efforts it has made over the past 3 years to build a BCM operation of international standards.

Abu AlNasr concluded by recognizing and thanking the efforts made by all teams across the NCB business who contributed toward the success. He stated that the prestigious recognition will galvanize NCB to learn more and further improve its performance in this area.
